Sam(antha) Loman:Hi I am Sam. I live in Burgh-Haamstede a small city in the Netherlands. Since 2004 I work fulltime as an illustrator from my home together with my Main coon cat Annabelle Jolie and Border Collie Skyeler. They are a huge inspiration for me because I love to draw animals especially cats! Other subjects I like are the beach (I can hear the sea when I stand outside in my garden), mermaids, flowers/gardens, girls stuff like clothes and make-up, vintage toys and interiors, stores (the windows). But I love to learn and explore new things so I am always open for other themes!
I have illustrated more than 150 books and written/illustrated approximately 30 picturebooks and 5 non-fiction books for different clients in the Netherlands and abroad. I also designed stationery, cards and tableware under my own brands Lisa and Lilly by Sam, Just Sam and Love, Sam.
